What makes EASTMAN'S FITNESS unique in a market that is over saturated? The answer is simple: non-corporate owned and operated by the owner. Each member has personal contact with the owner-John Eastman--on an individual basis. Having over 30 years of experience in the fitness field gives me a unique ability to address each member's personal fitness concerns. Being a life-time drug free athlete, I truly understand what type of dedication is required to achieve particular fitness goals--from losing weight to gaining muscle mass, or just general toning or aerobic workouts.
Even though members are all working to achieve personal fitness goals there is a camaraderie that is unique to EASTMAN'S FITNESS. From our youngest members to our senior members each individual member is encouraged to offer a hand to others that may need help. This is the culture that is cultivated at EASTMAN'S FITNESS. Through sharing each individual gains strength, both physically and mentally.
Younger members can look at an athlete who has never cheated by ingesting anabolic steroids and ask how did that person achieve that type of physique? Most likely by having a strong desire to achieve their personal goals and through dedication to their training. But some people also need some help. Nothing brings me more satisfaction then helping an individual overcome a sticking point. Very often I can suggest techniques that can enhance the results a person is striving to achieve. This is something my competitors might not be able to offer. One of the greatest collegiate basketball coaches, the late John Wooden, was quoted as saying. Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do. There are several foundation principles that will always return a positive outcome: desire, determination, dedication, and discipline--the 4 D's. And they don't cost anything!
Of the 4 D's I believe discipline is the most difficult to master because it means doing what you have to do when you need to do it, whether you want to or not. Self-discipline is action oriented. It doesn't procrastinate, and it doesn't make excuses. Once you have a dream and set a direction, it is desire, dedication, determination, and discipline that keep you going. Ask yourself this: Are you walking your talk?
With these principles put into place you must now set goals that are challenging but realistic. How will you achieve the goals you set out for yourself? Develop a plan of action tailored to your goals to take you from point A to point B over time. As a member at EASTMAN'S FITNESS I can provide you with guidance along this journey. When your goals aren't being reached, I can step in and make some adjustments (fine tuning) to your plan of action to help you get back on track to achieving your goals. You can benefit from my years of experience to save time and be more efficient in your training. And remember, it's important to have some fun and enjoy the process that you have embarked on to make your life healthier. Exercise is the greatest gift you can give to yourself.
Enjoy the journey, and the outcome will be all the sweeter!
John Eastman
